About Jackpotjoy
Jackpotjoy is one of the longest-running names in UK online bingo and casino gaming, and this page tells the story behind the brand. Our independent review covers who owns the operator, how it is licensed, what powers the platform, and how players can get in touch — everything worth knowing before signing up.
Jackpotjoy Company Overview
Jackpotjoy has been entertaining UK players since 2002, making it one of the earliest online bingo brands to build a genuine following in Britain. That longevity matters: the operator has been around long enough to have weathered every major regulatory change in the UK market and is still going strong.
The brand is operated by Gamesys Operations Limited, which sits under Bally’s Corporation. The same stable includes some very recognisable sister brands, such as Virgin Games, Monopoly Casino, Rainbow Riches Casino and Bally Bet — so Jackpotjoy is in good company.
Key facts at a glance:
- Launched: 2002
- Operator: Gamesys Operations Limited
- Parent group: Bally’s Corporation
- Sister brands: Virgin Games, Monopoly Casino, Rainbow Riches Casino, Bally Bet
- Licence: UK Gambling Commission, licence number 38905
In the UK market, Jackpotjoy holds a distinctive position: it is a bingo-first brand that has grown into a full casino offering, with slots, Slingo, table games and live casino alongside its 75-ball, 80-ball and 90-ball bingo rooms. Its flagship slot, Double Bubble from Roxor Gaming, has become something of a signature title for the brand. New members can currently choose between two welcome offers: Play £10, Get £30 of Free Bingo* or Play £10, Get 100 Free Spins** on Fishin Frenzy The Big Catch 2 (1p coin size, 10 lines). Opt-in is required, with a minimum £10 deposit and £10 wager, and a 30-day expiry applies. 18+, play responsibly.
Licensing & Regulation
Yes, Jackpotjoy is fully licensed to operate in the UK. The brand holds a UK Gambling Commission remote operating licence, number 38905, issued to Gamesys Operations Limited — the same licence framework that covers its sister brands. This means the site must meet strict standards on player protection, fairness and fund security.
Holding a UKGC licence is not a one-off box-tick. The operator is subject to ongoing compliance checks covering everything from how player funds are held to how marketing is worded. Independent testing of the games is carried out by NMi, an accredited test house, which verifies that game outcomes are produced fairly.
Responsible gambling is built into the account rather than bolted on. Players at Jackpotjoy can set:
- Financial limits on deposits and spending
- Session reminders and session limits to keep track of time
- Account cool-off periods from 24 hours up to six weeks
- Self-exclusion from six months to five years
- GAMSTOP registration for a UK-wide block
Support organisations GamCare and GambleAware are signposted throughout the site. More detail is available here: Jackpotjoy responsible gambling.
Our Platform & Technology
The Jackpotjoy platform pulls together games from a solid roster of studios, including Evolution for live casino, plus Gamevy, Inspired Gaming and Pragmatic Play. The game lobby covers online bingo, slots, Slingo, arcade and instant games, scratchcards, table games and a live casino section, with demo play available on many titles.
On the payments side, the site is built around familiar UK fiat rails. Deposits start at £10 via Visa Debit, Visa Electron, Mastercard debit, Apple Pay and Google Pay, with bank transfer available for withdrawals. Credit cards are not accepted, in line with UK regulations. Withdrawals are processed within 4 to 24 hours under a closed-loop policy, and Visa Direct payouts can land in as little as 4 hours once approved. Account verification — typically an ID document, plus payment method documents if requested — is required before the first withdrawal.
The platform runs smoothly in the browser on desktop and mobile alike, so there is no need to download anything to play. For the dedicated mobile experience, see Jackpotjoy mobile app.
How to Contact Jackpotjoy
Jackpotjoy offers round-the-clock customer support, so help is available at any hour. The main channels are 24/7 live chat and email, both staffed by the operator’s support team, and the brand also maintains a social media presence for news and community updates.
The quickest route for most queries is live chat, which runs directly on the site after login. Email works better for anything that needs documents attached, such as verification queries. Before contacting support, it is worth checking the help pages, which cover common questions about deposits, withdrawals and account settings.
